Institutional management practices on implementation of education for sustainable development in host universities of Regional Centres of Expertise, Kenya

The study sought to assess the influence of UNU-stipulated RCE institutional management practices/core elements on implementation of ESD in the host universities and the regions as a whole. With universities being centres of learning, research and community outreach, they play a central role in ensuring successful implementation of ESD through effective operationalisation of the RCE institutional management practices. This would equip the learners and community with ability to engage in sustainable livelihoods, to continue with learning after they leave school, to participate in community life and to live in a sustainable manner.
