Overview

Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) is a state university in Negros Occidental, Philippines, recognized as a Regional Center of Expertise (RCE) by the United Nations University for its dedication to Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Guided by its vision to be a leading “GREEN” university by 2030, CHMSU integrates sustainability into its curriculum, research, and community engagement. It actively supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals through innovative and collaborative initiatives, fostering empowered learners and sustainable practices to address local and global challenges.
