RCE East Kalimantan

The Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) East Kalimantan is a network organization dedicated to Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), operating under the United Nations University – Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS, Japan). It addresses local challenges such as poverty, environmental degradation, and education quality. The RCE fosters collaboration among government bodies, universities, NGOs, private sectors, and local communities to promote sustainability. Its vision is to create a “global space learning” for sharing experiences on ESD. Key activities include capacity building, research, awareness campaigns, and policy advocacy to support sustainable societies.
