Description of RCE and Geographic Region:
RCE Davao is a dynamic communication centre and network of educational institutions and support organisation engaging in research and capacity building to ress the three pillars of sustainability (economy, society, environment) and to disseminate the best practices related to ESD in order to establish communities of practice towards the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Davao Region is definitely the place-to-be. It is also known as Region XI which occupies 6.6% of the Philippines’s total land area, or 20% of Mindanao’s, making it capable of offering several opportunities for promoting sustainable education.
The region’s vast land area is blessed with vast natural resources, reliable facilities, and a home to highly competitive human resources who can be developed and become responsible global citizens through the RCE Davao.
