Description of RCE and Geographic Region:
RCE East Arunachal Pradesh is situated in the foothills of Eastern Himalaya. The entire region is inhabited by various tribal communities. The education and development came very late in this region. Therefore the main focus area of the RCE is to educate the communities in bio-diversity conservation and sustainable development. The RCE has organised a number of seminars, workshops and engaged with school going children to take environment education to the school, and through school to the community. The major challenge we face in the region is the poor mobile and internet connectivity in the region and thereby getting connected to share our works with change makers and creators of role models.
