Description of RCE and Geographic Region:
RCE Kunming concentrates on environmental education and education for long-term sustainable development. RCE Kunming intends to build a comprehensive network covering several regions in Kunming, which includes six districts (Wuhua, Panlong, Xishan, Guandu, Dongchuan, and Chenggong), seven counties (Shilin, Luquan, Songming, Jinning, Fumin, Xundian, and Yiliang), and one city (Anning).
Kunming is located in the southwest of China and in the middle part of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. It is the capital of Yunnan province and radiates influence throughout Yunnan. It is also the center of education and scientific research in Yunnan province.

Goals and Objective:
The vision of RCE Kunming is to promote to locals to take sustainable development (SD) as their mainstream belief and to form locals’ SD behaviour. Objectives:
Capacity building on Kunming ESD
Striving to integrate EE & ESD into curricular system of formal education
Improving the public awareness of sustainable development, to form the public participation mechanism of ESD
