Description of RCE and Geographic Region:
RCE KwaZulu-Natal collaborates with various partners in ESD, in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa, in the Midlands region of Pietermaritzburg and northwards.
All individuals and organisations in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands who seek more sustainable practices through ESD are welcome to join and collaborate.

Citizen Science for sustainable water management

ESD Training in SA, India, Germany and Mexico through Mentee training programmes

Achievements:
Attended and presented the keynote at the African RCE meeting in eSwatini from 5-7 August, 2019
Hosted the AfriAlliance workshop on Citizen Science for the southern African region
Supported the Umzimvubu Catchment Project – catchment-wide sustainable living
Supported NADEET (in Namibia). NADEET won the UNESCO award (US $ 50,000)

Sustainability Starts with Teachers (SST) in 11 countries in partnership with UNESCO and Rhodes University
