The Lusaka Centre of Expertise is the first Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development in Zambia. Its formation was necessitated by the desire by various stakeholders within the vicinity of Lusaka to collaborate on issues of common interest relating to Education for Sustainable Development. It has drawn stakeholders from various institutions, including educational, city council, and environmental management. The Greater City of Lusaka face numerous environmental and socio-economic challenges which the stakeholders feel can be better solved jointly and collaboratively.
