Description of RCE and Geographic Region:
RCE Senegal works to contribute to sustainable development through the promotion of global environmental education and holistic citizenship, and participation to ensure the right to life of communities through education in risk prevention and reduction of damage caused to the environment, hygiene and health.
Current Activities:
Implement comprehensive and inclusive environment education and meet theneeds of the UN (2005-2014) Decade on Education for Sustainable Development;
Support community-based initiatives and help establish the bases of integratedsocial economy; and
Promote exchanges, cooperation, and integration between the communities andthe RCE in the respect of the sociocultural differences and realities.
